Lee and Sharon Conti
In August of 2015, Lee and Sharon Conti became the owners of The Groutsmith of Polk County—the 32nd franchise sold by the Sarasota-based parent company that has been serving Florida residents since 1992. Here is their story:
With over 40 years of combined experience in operations and sales, we were both feeling “corporate burnout” back in our hometown of Pittsburgh. We knew that owning a business would allow us to operate with the integrity and truthfulness that many large companies have seemingly forgotten. We began to search for a franchise with a proven model and found The Groutsmith.The owner of the franchise system is not only an expert regarding grout and tile restoration but is extremely supportive as he continues to create new technology and proprietary products that will ensure customer satisfaction for years to come.

Since we owned a second home in Lakeland, the next decision would be whether we would become business owners in Pennsylvania or Florida… and anybody who has visited Pittsburgh in February will understand why Polk County was the unanimous decision! We love the fact that we never need to shovel sunshine!!
When Lee’s brother, Mark, decided that he would like to join the business and move to Florida with us, we felt like that was the icing on the cake! Mark resides in Winter Haven and utilizes his great attention to detail to help our customers love their showers and floors again. We would not be successful without him!
